4 things you need to make your landing page convert

Whether you’re trying to get new leads or make sales, your landing page needs to be built to get your audience to convert — or take the action you’re asking them to take.
So you’ve got to be strategic and it’s got to be good. Let’s have a look at 4 things you need to be sure are on point so that your landing page converts like crazy.
1. A catchy headline
The moment your dream client arrives on your landing page you’ve got to get their attention. This is the goal of your headline. You need to quickly and clearly communicate what your product or service is all about and why it should matter to your reader.
Remember, your audience is always looking for the answer to the question, “What’s in it for me.”
Ideally, your headline is brief, punchy, and gets them thinking, “Yes, that’s what I need!”
2. A persuasive subheadline
If the headline keeps them on your page, the subheadline then will keep them scrolling down the page.
It’s a short blurb that goes into a bit more detail about your offer and persuades your reader to click on your Call to Action button.
This leads us straight into #3:
3. One strong call to action (CTA)
Unlike your website that has many links and possible distractions for your reader to exit off of that page, a landing page only asks the viewer to do one thing. It has one single focus. It doesn’t even have a header or footer.
The goal is to get your audience to take the one action that you’ve determined as the goal for the page.
Your call to action needs to be obvious and really clear to your audience what you’re asking them to do. So don’t just say “Subscribe” or “Submit.”
Instead, tell them what they’ll get when they click the button. For example, “Download the planner” or “Start my free trial.”
4. Social proof
When it comes to getting your dream clients to convert on your landing pages, you need them to first trust you. And one of the best ways you can gain their trust is by using testimonials as social proof.
Not only will you establish credibility, but because testimonials come from someone other than you, you don’t have to give a strong sales pitch. People are more likely to convert when they see that others have also clicked your call to action and were so glad they did.
