Hawai‘i School for Girls at La Pietra
In partnership with Ian Symmonds and Associates, Hawai‘i School for Girls at La Pietra, an independent college-preparatory school in Honolulu, was preparing to unveil a new strategic plan and saw an opportunity to evolve its brand alongside it. The goal was to create an identity that felt bold and forward-looking while still honoring the school’s deep connection to place, community, and the student journey. The existing brand no longer reflected the strength, energy, or vision of the institution.
What We Created
The new identity was shaped around four defining traits: Courageous, Innovative, Impactful, and Purposeful. From there, I developed a mark inspired by Diamond Head, the surrounding ocean, and the campus archways, then extended that thinking into graphic forms, typography, and a refreshed color system rooted in both place and progress.
The result is a bold, cohesive identity that reflects the spirit and aspirations of Hawai‘i School for Girls at La Pietra. The new brand debuted alongside the school’s strategic plan publication and refreshed website, creating a unified visual language across print and digital platforms. Together, these pieces gave the school a stronger foundation for communicating its vision and confidently stepping into its next chapter.
